"WEDGEHEAD" KOLSCH
A mysterious moniker for a formidable foe, the Wedgeheads were better known as the British Army Royal Engineers, tasked with enforcing laws and collecting taxes. A smuggler is only as good as he has to be, and the determined Wedgeheads kept them sharp as they tried (and often failed) to bring them to justice. This beer is our tip of the hat to a worthy adversary. Cheers! Wedgehead Kolsch is a traditional German style Kolsch with a distinctive West Coast kick. It’s crisp, light and highly refreshing, beloved by craft enthusiasts and classic beer drinkers alike.

"black gold" stout
Even the most charismatic Smugglers have a dark side. This Coffee Stout is brewed in collaboration with Smoking Gun Coffee Roasters of Abbotsford, BC. Black Gold balances bold, smooth and roasty flavours with slight touches of spruce and the added kick of cold brewed and whole bean coffee. This is the beer for good chats and great stories.

"CANOE CHASE" IPA
Inspired by a (probably) true story, this beer is named for a legendary escapade. 150 years ago, on the run from the British Army redcoats, a pair of gold thieves made their escape in the original Canadian getaway vehicle: a canoe. Incredibly, they out-paddled their pursuers and escaped up the Fraser River, proving that sometimes a wild risk pays off. In that spirit, we’ve dared to re-imagine the west coast IPA. Notes of bright citrus, passion fruit and mellow spruce shine through a base of moderate caramel malt. Perfectly balanced, full-flavoured, never bitter. Raise a glass to your latest escapade.

"CAPTAIN STONE" LAGER
Captain Stuart Stone was the skipper of a prohibition era smuggling ship called the Malahat. With his trusty ship, Captain Stone quickly became the most infamous transporter of contraband liquor on the West Coast. While alcohol was legal in Canada, Prohibition reigned in the US, and Americans were thirsty for Canadian whisky.

Resourceful smugglers moved ales along the Smugglers Trail, sneaking it past the authorities and straight into the hands of the folks who needed it most. In tribute to the timeless need for refreshment, we’ve created a proper British Pub Ale. Strong English malts supply toasty flavour, balanced by old-world hops that add notes of stone fruit and berry. The result is a smooth, refreshing beer for all occasions.

"SCOUT" PALE ALE
A blend of new and old world techniques and ingredients. A light bodied, crisp and refreshing pale ale built for the everyday craft drinker. The hop profile is a blend of spicy English East Kent Golding Hops and aggressively fruity Mosaic Hops, lending aromas of grapefruit, lavender and thyme.
This brew features a mix of English and American hops with a perfect cascading mouth feel. Ever so smooth.

Dark Mild is a traditional pale ale popular in English Pubs when growlers were just pails carried down to the local. Our Dark Mild was dry-hopped for a modern twist. Notes of gooseberry, cassis, dried plums and dark raisin rye bread.
A smooth pub style session ale designed to be enjoyed throughout the day and into the night.

Originally destined to be something else entirely. Harvest apricot ale was a happy little accident. Loads of apricot make this beer sweet and jammy with a light tartness and a hint of earthy English hops.

"Paradise Lost" Triple IPA
The brother to our Paradise Tropical Session Ale. This brew uses the parti-gyle brewing method. A frightening amount of El-Dorado, Citra and Idaho 7 Hops balance the sweetness of this TIPA. Massive citrus notes with pineapple, hits of candy, and sweet sticky mango! A total palate wrecker.

"PARADISE" Tropical Session Ale
Brewed with the last runnings of the single mash that also produced its brother Paradise Lost. Paradise features Kviek Yeast and Tropical spices like Lemongrass, Kaffir Lime Leaf, and Grains of Paradise. This tropical ale is a very drinkable and light palate cleanser.
